Project Announcement: Toshokan Sensou Movie & A Request

Hello, everyone. This post is for two things:

  • We’re announcing that we’re currently working on Toshokan Sensou: Kakumei no Tsubasa (Library War: Wings of Revolution) movie.
  • We’ll be using the official subs that came with the Bluray, TLCed, Edited, and QCed for your viewing pleasure.
  • Due to the massive amounts of intense typesetting, we’ll be using AFX (Adobe After Effects) for the Typesetting. That means hardsubbed awesome typesetting done by experts in the field.
  • The project will take some time, since we plan on giving you nothing but the best for it.
  • You can keep track of the progress in the right widget, as always.
  • As of 9th Feb, 2013, it has been TLCed already, and is in editing phase right now.

Now for the request:

  • We do not possess any BDMV or BDISO for this yet, so if anyone has it and is willing to share, we’ll be more than grateful. Please contact sm2345 over IRC or email at oyatsufs@gmail.com if you can and are willing to provide us the BDMV. Rest assured, we’ll do everything we can to ensure it’s released in the best quality.

As a few of you have pointed out, the BDMV has turned up~ So we can now work on it properly.

Now, all I’ll request of you is a bit of patience. Schedules are a bit tight for all of us right now. However, it should improve soon. We’ll keep you updated to the best extent possible.

sm: Sorry for the mess up guys. Anyway, something we wanted to point out:

03:26: バカンス(bakansu) is a Japanese loanword from the French “vacances”, meaning holiday/vacation. Bahamut makes a play on words by only pronouncing the first 2 syllables, baka, and we all know Baka = stupid/idiotic. We used “vacuous” which literally means “Having or showing a lack of thought or intelligence; mindless: “a vacuous smile”. ” as well as “Empty”. We use the former meaning, obviously. Also, if you don’t like the pun, blame sm, not the editor, please.

sm: So yeah, this is our Spring 2013 project. We decided to pick up despite Crunchyroll doing it cos we like the show. The voice cast is awesome, and it seems fluffy on the surface, but have you seen the vibes the OP gives? It also has this warm feeling to it that pulled us towards it.

As for the release schedule, there are some issues. Both the translator and editor have work, and I have exams till end-April, so things will be a bit slow. We’ll do our best to release before the next episode airs though. If you cannot wait, please watch CR. We request your cooperation in this matter. Thank you very much.

Because those arcs are really awesome with magic, Gnilruc and awesome characters (yeah, the characters there are much better than the apparently perverted girls featured here.

sm: So it ended. Ginga e Kickoff!!, one that’ll remain as one of the most memorable series in our fansubbing careers. Well… the only thing I can say is a big heartfelt Thank You to everyone:

  • Ladholyman and Maceart for being super-awesome, never failing to deliver the scripts on time, and being very very patient with my circumstances and project stalls. Without them, we couldn’t be able to finish this show.
  • Everyone who watched this show and cheered us on. You played a big role as well, keeping motivations up and everything. Thank you.

Status Stuff

Ok guys, some stuff happened and thanks to that, I am unable to work on stuff for a while.

This has resulted in certain setbacks due to the timer/KTimer/QC/Project Leader being unable to work on stuff. So, in this post, I’ll clarify the status of the things:

General: Assasin_Cross will be temporarily managing things in my absence. Please wish him luck.

Da Capo III: Ktiming and typesetting is in progress for episode 12. The episodes will be a bit delayed, but we’ll try to get them out ASAP, hopefully by the next episode airs. Please bear with us for this.

Ginga e Kickoff!!: I really wanted to finish this one, but oh well. Nevertheless, Maceart and Assasin_Cross will be QCing  to bring you an ep or two by this week. Hopefully we can wrap this up soon. Once again, please bear with us.

And lastly, heartfelt thanks from us to all our fans out there. Without you all, we’d have lost half our reason to fansub.

And my apologies to all the hardworking staff on both the series. Sorry guys I had to disappear so suddenly. But yeah, I should be back in a month or so.
